I love this game: Fresh Install.

What a nice game! I have been an internet and script user for many years; i have never seen somewhere where a fresh install must be done whenever a new script (site) version is released no matter whether it is a free, beta or a paid version. To me, Boonex is the only place where such things occur. Wow, congratulations Guyz, keep up the good work! I am doing my best to catch you up in this game but let me confess to you that it’s hard. You can bear with me, I will make it cuz I love this game! :x

I salute you for all your efforts to improve your software quality and performance but please, please, please, and read me again, PLEASE, try to make our life a little bit easier when it comes to software or website script upgrade. 

I am just trying to recover from a Dolphin V.5.4 to V.5.6 upgrade´s Knockout (KO)… Yeah…a KO… A fresh site and database installation had to be done…it is very sad because it has delayed my business too much. (Time-consuming, customer lost, upgrade hassle etc) 

I have just installed Ray 3.0.B and here we go… a fresh Ray install must be done for Ray 3.0 Release Candidate. eh eh eh… nice game yo! 

We will soon get punched out again when the final Ray 3.0 will be released. Maybe a fresh Ray installation will be required too. Oh sorry… I’ve forgotten that Dolphin 6 is coming soon; we might be required to welcome it with an honorable and complete fresh Installation too. Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, tradition obliged. Get ready! 

Dear Boonex, Hope you won’t get me wrong I am just trying to unit people. “You people from Boonex have to make meaning otherwise…die” (by Andrey Sivtsov - Boonex GD). I am just kidding! :)

I will hang up on you because you guyz have gotten very good products and I love them. Yes…I love this game! 

Please try to make our life a little bit easier. Save us from doing fresh installations of your software or scripts every time. Help us make meaning otherwise we will die. I am worrying about survivals; they might be shot again with fresh installations.

Oh I was almost forgetting: 

For us who are already running Ray 3.0.b and because a fresh installation of Ray 3.0rc has to be done (sad!), please provide us with a step-by-step software removal guide. How can we remove Ray 3.0.b from our site and our database? Should we just delete the Ray database tables created while installing Ray 3.0 Beta, and then overwrite Ray 3.0.b files with the new Ray 3.0rc files following by a fresh Ray 3.0rc installation? Should we do the same with Ray Media Server (overwrite RMS files and then fresh RMS installations)? Will it not affect our old members’ profiles?

4ppl New Record Highs

After re-launch 4ppl Free Dating Site is bringing in new records every day. It boasts about 50K members so far, but the growth is very inspiring.

Today we had over 300 sign-ups, over 2000 logins, and almost 6000 visitors. All for the first time ever. The trend is very positive and we plan to make it through 100K members by the end of June. The big dream is to reach 1mil. members by the end of 2007.

We had 2142 new visitors and 306 of them joined the site. This makes more than 14% join rate, which is quite good, considering that we don’t restrict profiles searching and viewing for guests.

4ppl 3 Times Faster Now

4ppl is getting more and more traffic every day and it was reported to slow down a little. We have been working hard these days on DB queries optimization and overall setup tuning and we are happy to announce that we managed to achieve at least 3 times better performance on the same machine now, and we’re still hungry.

Now we are ready and looking forward to at least 5 times as much traffic to 4ppl as it gets now. I will report traffic details for May a little later.

4ppl Beats PlentyOfFish, Match, Date, True and Facebook

… on “visitors average stay” metric, for now. Great news! “Average stay”, or “time on site”, or “average session time” if you will is one of the major metrics for tracking site “stickiness” and it looks like new 4ppl is right on spot now.

If you look at this Compete Chart - you would see the numbers. Plentyoffish, being the best in the list, shows 14:35. (used to be 16:40)

There’s no new 4ppl info at Compete, since we relaunched it less than one month ago, so it’s coming soon.

BUT, from our Google Analytics report 4ppl “Time on Site for all visitors” is 17:35 and steadily growing. Woohoo!!!

This means that the site works well and users like it. This also means that the software you’re going to get (Shark) is marking its first success point. And what’s most important is that this number is growing, although we are yet to add main features that increase “time on site” figures (they would be photos rating, similar profiles, group chat/forum, etc).

After beta testing and fixing, we are happy to announce Ray 3.0 Release Candidate, which has most (if not all) bugs fixed, some suggested features integrated and sports a new installation manual and installation video tutorial. Same as 3.0b, this version will work in free mode for one month and those who use it and provide constructive feedback for us will receive a free license of the final release of Ray Suite.

Short Description

Ray 3.0 Suite includes Ray Base + all 6 Ray Widgets. All of them are 100% operational. Demo is not limited in functionality or load. Demo uses a demo license key. Demo licenses will expire in about 1 month or so. Cant use the Orca forum

I have installed Orca inthe hope of importing my phpbb forum. However when I go to the forum it says that the site is not available, upon checking the forum on the expertzzz site I see that it does the same. Is Orca dead or have I missed something….

User manual

Would someone experienced in Dolphin consider writing a functional user manual.

I downloaded and installed the software, and came to a screeching halt….and thats where it sits.

Can’t figure out how to change template or look of site, and the user manual online really doesn’t explain much of anything other than what is on the pages…nothing to indicate how to use the different sections, etc.

I would be more than will ing to pay for a good users manual if someone would write it.

Hmm whats this about Dolphin 6? What will the features be?I just got the 5.6 about a month or so ago. I like it but I need a few more features that wont cost an arm and a leg. Im willing to donate somethng but the mods I see are way to expensive. Plus I cant find mods that I need.  I post on the forums but no one responds. I wont be making any money off my site to help generate income so I cant break my bank. I really like this script its easy to work with, but Im no good at coding for what I need. Please can someone help me?

From now on we advice processing all custom orders via Jobz. Thus we can track the execution process and can step in if there’s any problem between customers and service providers. Any solicitation to order services bypassing Jobz will be removed from Expertzzz.com pages and is now strictly prohibited. Even if there’s a need to order from a specific Expert, one can do so by posting a job offer assigned for specific person.

Jobz is a virtual marketplace for custom services associated with any community software. It’s a perfect place to order installations, modifications, design development or whatever you need to make your community site run better. Jobz is also a great opportunity for professional programmers to earn extra money by executing Job Offers. Jobz works similar to freelancing sites, where programmers “bid” for job offers and gradually earn a reputation. We, at BoonEx have seen great demands for custom services, but admittedly, we are too understaffed to execute them all. Jobz is a Win-Win arrangement for both programmers and webmasters who want to have their sites modified.

Expertzzz - Community Software Support was enhanced with an internal mailing system, open for all members. Now there’s no need to drop your contacts in forums or product pages. Expertzzz Mail is a fast and secure way to communicate with other members of Expertzzz Community Software Support.

From now on sharing personal contact details on any of the Exertzzz.com pages is strictly prohibited. All communication should be conducted via internal mailing system. We will store all emails (even deleted ones) in order to be able to help in solving arguable cases between customers and service providers. Note, that even deleted emails will be archived by Expertzzz.com servers for future reference, if need be. Now, all members are asked to remove their contact details publicly published on any of the Expertzz.com pages.

Mailbox is a major step towards building an interactive community of webmasters helping each other run community sites. We plan to introduce even more means of communication in the nearest future.

Although it was up for a while now, this is the first time we’re officially announcing it. The former BoonEx SVN has been upgraded to the BoonEx Development Zone, which now features development tracking platforms for all BoonEx products and the Expertzzz.com website. This is the place to report bugs, suggest features and participate in beta testing of the upcoming version of BoonEx community software. Now you will know what’s coming soon and will be able to help.

This is what used to be called “Ray Trac” and “Shark Trac”. Now it’s for all BoonEx products, and for Expertzzz.com too.

4ppl Moved to a Separate Server

Ok, we have finalized a big move of all our sites to a new array of servers, and now 4ppl lives on it’s own box. We decided to grab a typical dedicated server, worth $200/mo. to tune the software and calculate dollar/user spent while using it. You want to know how much money you’re going to spend for XXXXXX number of members, and this is what we will tell you along the way. The goal is to optimize the box to be capable to host at least 500 online users for 200$ box with Ray suite, DB and Images served from the same box. The we will cluster it, and will separate DB servers, Ray server, image server, and email server for optimal tuning.

Next goal would be keeping 5000 online users on a $1000/mo setup. This is a high and very challenging figure, as there’s simply NO other software on the market that can do the same.
