Time has come and we are now effectively becoming direct competitors with USERPLANE. We avoided that for a while, but Ray 3 in our opinion already has a lot more to offer compared to UP apps and it’s time to step on to new grounds.
So, within 2 weeks we plan to offer:
1. Free Ray Community Widget Suite. Standalone. Ad-based.
Yes, full-featured Ray, with all those a/v features and absolutely free for all. You host it and you control it. All we want is a piece of apps space to show our ads… underneath each widget. Hence, upcoming release of Dolphin 6 will include this version of Ray, and will be the ultimate combo of all ages :). One can remove ads and references to BoonEx for free if he’s a Contributor at Expertzzz, or if he buys a commercial license of Ray Suite.
2. Free Ray Community Widget Suite. BoonEx-hosted. Ad-based.
Yep, you just pick the option and use it. We host it. Install it on shared hosting accounts, use it on any platforms, don’t bother about RMS hosting fees. We’ll pull our ads to cover costs, while you will enjoy widgets in full and without problems whatsoever.
3. Ad-free Ray Community Widget Suite. BoonEx-hosted. Commercial.
We host it, we don’t show ads, but you pay us for the traffic. Easy! For a month or two we’ll run it in free mode to test things first.
4. Ad-free Ray Community Widget Suite. Standalone. Commercial.
This is the current option. You buy widgets, install RMS on your server - stay independent, ad-free, with full control and no monthly payments.
5. Ad-free Ray Community Widget Suite. Standalone. Free for Expertzzz Contributors.
This option is already available. You can use ad-free standalone Ray Suite on one domain if you have a Contributor Star at Expertzzz.com. This is like “renting” Ray. Once you quit - it won’t work. Pretty cheap, considering you can buy a star for $100/annum.
6. Express-install. Copy-paste Ray Chat installation. Free. Ad-based.
Simply copy code and paste it to your site pages and BOOM - your visitors have a chat.
This variety of options should solve problems with those who use shared hosting, can’t install RMS or can’t afford Ray Suite. This also matches Ray with current offers of our now-competitor Userplane, but Ray will offer more widgets, extended functionality and better integration with Dolphin… yeah, and standalone installation options.
Suggestions and comments are most welcome. All 6 options should be running in full mode by the end of August. First 5 should be available in about 2 weeks. So, it’s official, you asked and we heard, Ray is about to become Free! (I can’t believe I just said that)

I would switch to a ray hosted solution any day, but its missing a couple of things…
1: Dock Space… Users of my site like to dock 3 cams, which you cant do with Ray can you?
2: “Who’s Watching Me” - They like to know who is watching them, can this be incorporated easily?

I was trying to save the money for the Ray license but then I still had the problem of having shared hosting and was dreading having to find the money for a dedicated server to go with it. If you ever figure out a way to get it to work with most shared hosting soluntions I will be buying more than 1 license.

This is a very good idea, especially for those of us who are new to Ray and Dolphin and find it all just a little bit overwhelming when it comes to beta testing, installing and configuring.
Not only will it give us a chance to use and learn the scipt, it gives you the chance to reach many more potential customers.
As we get more proficient and start earning money from using the script we can more afford to buy licenses and add-ons.
A very smart business move that is very much appreciated!

Just to confirm - yes ALL widgets, including upcoming Video Player and (pssst) Shoutbox will be included into the offer. Hosted solution will work like a simple copy-paste install for other scripts and will e built-in with Dolphin 6.

I am very happy for the release and glad to hear it I think it will be very successful. Please take note of my last comment for anyone that knows. I’m just trying to get clear what is gonna be included in the next version.
Sounds like a huge project and I hope you get it work as you like because seems to be really a lot of work.
Just one question about the ads.
Are contributors or commercial user able to include their own ads into the widget?
Sounds like a great function and maybe for next version.
But now I look forward to Dolphin 6 release.

I agree with Techno. i would be willing to hand over the first $100 i make from google as well. I have tried to be a good tester of the beta’s but my hosting company kept having issues. I how ever still build regular Dolphin sites without Ray with all of the betas they release and i must say I love every bit of them. I think that if anyone ever makes a template for them that looks or operates just like the AdultFriendFinder sites that we will all be rich soon after LOL.
All of us have particular geographical markets and niches we are using this for and together we can make Dolphin the new world standard.
