I think the forget your password could get a little better interface look and possibly offer a few ways to get your password. As there have been times I forget to update my email address and it cannot be sent to me.
Also there should be a networking system. Like users can join networks for their school, collage, work place, etc. So that it can all be linked together and in order to get into the network you must be approved. I was told that SECURITY, SECURITY, SECURITY needs to be the key. Plus make sure that it doesn’t get annoying as of course everyone knows that if it is annoying they won’t even bother.

IMHO, to ask the user for his/her account email address is the only secure way…
If the users don’t update they mail addresses, all the notifications sent (new friend, new profile comment, cupid mail, …) cannot be delivered.
