One thing I always wanted to say to Technoman - WELL DONE MATE! Running your site from home is sometimes not as simple and straightforward as using remote host, but is always so much more fun. No, I don’t endorse that kind of setup - it has pros and cons, but let’s cheer Technoman for showing us the another side of life and another way to manage your community.
Ive got a Question Andrey and Technoman,
with all the releases, which one do I use for Free Contributor Linux RMS?
Is it the Contributors version you released a while ago? Is it the new Linux RMS or the AdFree Ray??
Ive installed the adfree and it messed up my live site, now it says Script Seems to not be Installed… and thats it…
what should I do?

The Dolphin hosting requirements don’t mention the need for root access

Dolphin does not need Root Access, Ray on the other hand does.

also i have a dedicated IP (static cable IP address) This is why i have been so buisy trying out dolphin on so many server programes dedicated for windows and linux systems. my linux system that i think is best is debian, but also cant seem to reach my server from the outside world, so hence im now using Xp as another server using Wamp5 and many other server programes that can or could be used for dolphin, Any way as a short help info im asking what have you done to achieve this m8. Ps my server ip is 82.5.238.75 or http://ancestorsrevisited.dyndns.org of which is a free dns server hosting, well give it a ping and see m8. Any way to all that reads this if i can find out what is the cause of my problem it may relate to your own hosting spec problem/problems in why you can not get all your features to work cus i use linux and windows servers to run Dolphin and evry thing works apart from video uploads! all sugestions welome.
Andrey: you say that you don’t endorse running a home server to use Dolphin. but i think its has many benifits to do or use your own server from home, (1) you have full control of ip address access denial. (2) you can give a file upload quota due to accounts privalege (example: free or premium subscriptins) also you can install or upgrade the Mysql database/perl/apache/PHP/Cron service/and so forth to get or let users have a fully working FREE Dolphin SCRIPT for customers to use in your own server, as you can not Know if your your paid hosting suports Dolphin properly due to restristions when you have signed up. Most hostings are a vertual host anyway and have limitations on file uploads( mainly 2MB. And that is why you can offer the full control of file upload to use Dolphin properlly. also thats why you use RMS.boonex service for runing the ray plugins but iof only if your server or service can allow it to run properly. cus thats why you offer this free service to make sure that the ping back can work for the software plugins for ray (basicly you host ray service) and that is why it works ok for 70% of hosting services) un less you use RMS which is good for home hosters, for end user who don’t have a service that supports ray on a paid service it can use your service, wich is brilliant and should work fine,
