Hi Andrey!
During your downtime my installation of Dolphin 6 was not accessible. The admin panel said that the installation is not registered and clicking on the link to go on unregistered just made the browser time out. Also the home page and other subpage just made the browser time out.
What can be behind and what to do against it?

Make Meaning Or Die
Well, it’s not because of license check - it’s RSS feed from BoonEx. You can turn it off from builders. Admin has it too - hence it waits for the RSS for some time. We’ll try to fix it in tomorrow’s patch. Sorry about problems.
Thank you for the info!
But why does the admin panel tell me that my installation is not registered when boonex is down and all is OK again, when boonex is up again? happened right now for the second time …
On every login to Admin panel DOlphin check for you license validity at BoonEx servers. If hey are not available - it thinks the script is not registered. I truly apologize for that - we didn’t expect such huge load today, while our extra servers are on the way. We’re now buildig a fully redundan server setup, so these problems will go away once and for all within a few days.
I guess we’re all trying to build our communities and work hard to accomplish our goals. One of my biggest concerns when I read this is:
Is the access to the admin page dependant on your servers being online?
Please tell me it ain’t so, otherwise I’ll have to look at other options.
I do not wish to base my business on someone elses server being online or not.
I hope I have misinterpreted this, English isn’t my native language.
Andrey I think you should reconsider this check in. Regardless of how many servers you configure - and even if you think your servers are fully redundant, the fact of the matter is down time does occur. Your service provider may have a DoS attack that brings down your entire server infrastructure or a domino effect of a patch that brought down the Skype network earlier this year. Outages happen. However, customers using Dolphin should not suffer because of a problem on your end. Please reconsider this license validity check whenever we login to the Admin panel. There must be a better way to handle license checks.
I agree 100% Perhaps some kind of caching mechanism would be the solution paired with warnings to the admin …
You guys really created a great script and I am sure you will also handle this!
thanx so much and take all the sleep you need …
100% agreement here too !!!

Well my frined i got living prooof that DOLPHIN goes down NOT your site cause DOLPHIN has gone and my site still continued to work … GREAT JOB ANDREY
Well here is a simple question to ask. What if something happens to your company and you go out of business. Yes this does happen everyday with companies. Not being able to get support one day is one thing. But turing off every site in partnerhip with you is a completly difffrent deal.
zorro……………
We has postponed patch because of this. After today’s patch you DOlphin install will not have any problems no matter what happens to BoonEx.
