Hello,
I noticed when I tested chat(clicked on tab) the option to do video chat or the options weren’t available, is this becuase I’m not running my own Ray Server?

SO, by your message, I can’t run video chat without installing Ray Server on my site, is this correct?

Simple and handy. If you use Free Ray you don’t have to install and host Ray Media Server. You can connect to ours for free. Just go to your Ray Base settings and write rms.boonex.com in RMS IP field. Then you will be able to run RMS-dependent widgets, such as Video Recorder, Video Chat, Whiteboard or Video Messenger.
Mabey Andrey could help you, I was just trying to narrow down some basic problems but it seems that you should have a fully functional video chat, have you registered all your widgets? Do they appeared to be registered in Ray Base?

Yes to your questions.
all of the widges are registerd but not without issues.
1. its asking to register desktop but unity never provided a registration code of any. not sure why
2. music upload works but can’t play any of the music, keeps askig me to registerb but it is registered.
big problem here.. i have 2 music players and there both registered far as i can see.
Sometimes there is a problem with Boonex servers. During those times it temporarily won’t work.
I am using ad free on my site and it has been working well for me.

1. There is now Free license for Desktop for now, only paid one.
2. a. Please make sure you have correct permissions on main.xml file in “/ray/modules/mp3/xml/” and “/ray/modules/music/xml/” folders. They should be 666.
b. What version of Dolphin and Ray do you use?

I’m running dolphine 6.0002
and database also upgraded..
i changed the permissions as requested..
/ray/modules/mp3/xml/main.xml was already at 666 (file)
changed
/ray/modules/music/xml/ from 755 to 666 (folder)
this didn’t fix the problem i still can’t see the option to do video chat.
now my music player saids, when i go to play ” not installed”

1. The folder “/ray/modules/music/xml/” should be 755. Sorry my fault, was in a hurry and put the sentence “They should be 666.” in a wrong place in my initial comment.
And the file “/ray/modules/mp3/xml/main.xml” is 666.
This should have fixed the problem with Music Player registering not chat.
I have gone through your site, browsed for Music and the player works just fine. Let us know if this happens to profile Music player.
2. The reason you do not have the options for video in chat is that you need to bind your Ray Base (and all Widgets) with RMS. This can be the one installed on your server or you can use our BMS.

The music player isn’t appearing in the user profile anymore.
I verified it the admin profile builder and the profile music is there.
the music appears on the main page but again not in the profile section.
recarding to video chat, I am using your BMS option.
in the admin, its set to: rms.boonex.com

Thanks for the help, everything to do with music works now..there was,little bit of missunderstanding on my part as well.
BUT.. the video chat still not working or the menu option isn’t available.

Please make sure that option “Use RMS” is checked in “Base Settings”. That should solve the problem with chat.
