Actually, is there going to be a way to disable a profile where a member can not re-activate it? a way to block anyone from trying to create a profile with ‘admin’ anywhere in it? I have been having a problem with a ‘fool’ for better words trying to do such things and need to ban him and a way to ban IP’s from connecting…

I’ve been running my site with version 6.0 since its release in early September with only minor problems. To be honest, I didn’t feel it was a good idea to apply patches that only seemed to create more problems for Dolphinites.
Now, I am somewhat confident that I could upgrade to 6.0.003 without completely destroying my live site. However, I am unsure if I need only apply the 6.0.003 patch or if I must apply all 6.0.001, 6.0.002 and 6.0.003 patches? If this is the case, can someone please direct me to these other patches so that I can bring my site up to date?

I keep getting an error in my Apache error_log saying that ‘fix.js’ can not be located. Any solution?
Having a problem… upgrade went great but in admin every other button does not work… it brings up say the Settings title, and half the image on the right, then no settings or anything is displayed below.
This is the same for every other button… ie content not working, plugins, settings, and image not loading for adminmenucompose.php?

Sharephoto’s tags are not committing in table Tags.
Sharevideo’s title, description, tags in RayMovieFiles are committing in wrong encoding.

How can I update my Dolphin 5.6 to Dolphin 6?
Hmm, I dont see how other peoples sites are soo fast.. my site is very lagged.. it seems to take forever to load it. grrrrr maybe its the speed of the box.. dunno but hopefully i’ll get a new server.

Of course I could be wrong… but check the speed of your site loading on other computer first.
I’m not sure of her name, Josselyn I think, was complaining coz her site was slow. When I tried her site was very fast…
Me too I had such problem which disapeared after having cleaning the Internet history (files, coockies, blocked cookies…) of my browser (Windows XP Pro, IE7, 512 Mo RAM).
I did build a new PC (Windows Vista Ultimate, IE7, 2048 Mo RAM) and don’t have loading speed problem any more…
Don’t know why but for me and some others the poor loading speed was causing because of the PC and not by the server…
Of course you have to ask your hosting provider about the performance of your site too (check the RAM).

The following directories are missing from the Zip pacakage:

/ray/modules/mp3/files
/ray/modules/music/files
Please, include them into the package to avoid error messages.
For those who are having the same problem, just create the above directories in their respective location and proceed with the installation.

In the page classifieds.php (All Classifieds) I’d like a smaller blank space between two lines of blocks.
Any body could help ???
I did look all the files related to classifieds but I’am unable to find how to decrease this blanck space height…
Patch works great, nice job! A couple of things:
1. I can’t seem to get PayPal to work for an Event. My PayPal setup passes the check. When I log in and “Join” the new event all I get is a message that says I joined and Thank you for your purchase at…… I also get an email comfirmation but nowhere can I find a place to make the payment. What am I missing?
2. Will we have the ability to Upload images within Orca posts in the future? IMHO too many links go dead leaving blank images in the forums.

Can we have a look at your site to see the problem? It is not obvious where the problem is.

You are the one reporting this problem and we have checked that several times. All folder and files are present in the Zip archives.
Probably, the problem is in your program which you are using to unzip the archive. Please try to use another one and let us know.
When I’m trying to install Ray Widgets it keeps teeling me the permissions for the various files are 644, and need to be 666. But I’ve changed the files to 666, I know for a fact they are 666. Everytime I look at the files they are 666, but the widget install seems to think they are still 644 and can’t go on.
However, it gets even stranger. Every now and then, it DOES see they are 666. It lets me go on with the installation, and then I enter my registration code, which it accepts. Everything seems fine, until I try to use the Ray widget from the public side of the site (say Chat for instance), then I get the error “Not Registered”…. so I log back in to the admin, and it shows it hasn’t even been installed. Then I try to install again, but get stuck on the 644 vs. 666 permission problem…. even though the files are still 666.
I’ve tried several browsers, 2 different computers, reuploaded the files… and I keep having the same problem.
Any suggestions?
Ok, I think I resolved this. Looked like their were some database issues, due to temporary host migrating my sites to a new server (without telling me). The process caused some datbase problems. I did a “repair” on the tables generating errors, and now everything seems to be working, as far as installing/registering Ray widgets.
Well, I guess I got too excited, and spoke too soon. After my last post, I went and used chat… it worked just fine. I was going to review some setting, and went to Ray Base Admin, and all of the sudden it reverted back to saying Chat (and all the other widgets) are NOT installed.
Before doing anything else, I went to see if Chat was still working on the site… and it was. Just Ray Base was saying it wasn’t. So I tried some of the other widgets, which were installed but Ray Base indicates they weren’t… and in those cases I get the error saying that are “not installed”.
My head hurts.

It has to do with XML and XSL. It’s not a script error as the Boonex Dolphin/Orca forum does not have the error. I switched hosts and the new host does not know how to fix. Maybe something with Pear and Dom XML. I am not sure. Any help is appreciated. They keep saying ask the programmers even though it’s not a script error.

What you can do is to download everything in your pc and with textpad or some other editor to make a search in files (all files) for that. Somewhere there must be this.

I narrowed down the problem at http://partyhardydating.com/orca/
The funny A is caused by leftover XSL 1.0 code that is not transformed to UTF8.
I use PHP 5.2.2 with DOM XML only it uses XSL 2.0 not 1.0

the amp and nbsp need to be flagged out on the server but I do not know the code to do that. Is there any help from members here who know how to flag those out while while compiling php 5.2.5 or even a way to get the server XSL to read old XSL 1.0 commands?
This has been really tough to figure out seeing as how I am not a programmer.
I will say that I think the Boonex programmers are geniuses. This is a very powerful script. The conversion to UTF8 did not go smooth but once a few more bugs are worked out in Dolphin it will be rock solid.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Chat stopped working with a ‘Loading error’.
Can someone please post the correct ray video install sql file? The sql file downloaded in a fresh copy of 6.0003 is blank so I get a connection error on profile videos. The same is true for the Presence sql file in the ray install folder. It’s blank.
mindriot–> those sql files, supposed to be 0 file size.
You can find them into the install directory in the root of your site:
\install\sql\v60.sql

The funny A is caused by the script using DOM XML/XSL 1.0 syntax. My server does not read amp and # 160 or above syntax.
The sql file in ray/modules/video/install/install.sql is not supposed to be blank. It is supposed to have information to create tables I think. My profile videos do not load at all and my presence does not work and both of their sql install files are blank.
I get a connection error on my profile videos.
look in this file \install\sql\v60.sql from line 8326 you will see the ray modules tables

My presence works but not my profile videos. I still get connection error. What could be going on? The video works on the Boonex test site.
A fix could be made for the amp and#160 errors I think by making some sort of php.ini file that reads old XML 1.0 sytax but I do not know how to do it.
It’s a bug. I went to the Boonex site, created a profile and my profile videos does not work there eithier. Very frustrating.

my profile -> profile video and it displays the messgae “connection error”.
Also, like to put this out.. you guys still have the greeting appear for the non members to click on when a none member click on a user whos on line?
rate profile doesn’t work on my site too.. non member can still rate the profile.
After reading what some of you had to say about profile video and music upload, I tried an mp3(3mb)uploading, small mp3 and it gave me an error message in IE and in Firefox… “Upload file error”.

hard to run a community site then this happens.
robin001–> i never had a problem like this for mp3.
For video there was an error in title, description and tags in my language (Greek) but the ray team has fix it.
Now the only problem i have is with big videos… i am getting a message of undefined and creates very big temp.flv’s (about 4 times bigger than mpg) and when i am deleting that video (witch the ray program do not upload) they are staying in dir files…
But i believe the ray team will fix it too..
Check in your php the limit upload_max_filesize and post_max_size. For example i have raise it to 100 M.
Also make sure that you have activated the rays from the admin.
