RMS Issues

Hi All.

I am having a slight issue with my RMS install.

I host dolphin sites and have done everything to make dolphin sites run smooth.

I just installed RMS and it works great.

1 problem though. every domain I allow to  access it ends up sharing the same chatrooms. I Just put a demo up for Dolphin expertzzz to use to showcase their mods and link to their download page on the page displaying their mod. however when I added my domain to the access.dat file I went in to test the chat and I was in a chat hosted by another site I provide hosting for.

How can I eliminate this issue. I know rms.boonex.com does not link chats together.

I am willing to install RMS on each account requiring it but i am having an issue with 2 RMS applications accessing same JRE. It just wont do it. So how do I do this with out VPS for each account?

Please help.

Matt

How did you manage not to have the widget connecting endlessly?

    what do you mean???

I also installed the RMS Server on another host and configred that host as RMS in my Dolphin admin panel. But all the widgets using the RMS (IM, Chat, Board) keep connecting to the server endlessly and do not come up! The small animanted symbol reading ‘connecting’ simply does not go away.

Have you installed the widgets also on the RMS server?

i have dedicated and I host sites. so what I did was set up a new domain with Dedicated IP. installed rms above the public_html file for new domain. then you need to edit the webapps for each widget and root in the webapps folder to use IP for domain, which is easier than it sounds.

OK, here is what I did:
    - downloaded the RMS_only package from boonex on my second dedicated server
    - unpacked and edited the red5.properties file in /im /chat /board /video and /root
    - edited access.dat and added my_domain.com from where Dolphin connects
    - started ray server and checked that all ports are up
    - started chat on my Dolphin on my first dedicated server. It connects to my RMS, I can also see the connection coming in but then the widget hangs in state ‘connecting’

Do I need to do anything else???

ok, try this. go into your admin/ then go into plugins/ray suite/ av chat.
open the av chat and click on admin.
If you get a connection error then you will need to restart RMS.
This is how you do this:
to restart RMS you should do the following:
login to your server via ssh
write “ps ax | grep red5″ and push enter
you will see the list of RMS processes with their IDs (ID is the first number in line). You should kill them with command “kill [process_id]”
after that write “cd RayServer_3.0.0000″ or what ever version you are using and then “./run_daemon.sh”. This will restart RMS.

The RMS Server is running. Killing it and restarting makes no difference.

Still have this endless ‘connecting …’

Have you done anything else to make it work?

no not at all. I just know it is working. IF you ask boonex in the expertzz area they will help you. i could probably look at it for you but i would need root shell access and admin login for your dolphin site. I can’t spens alot of time on it but could take a few minutes and have a look.

I will try restarting tomorrow and give you ssh access. One funny thing: admin chat works without problems …. ??
    What is your expertzzz ID?

Thanx so much for helping anyway!!
