I have not been on the Expertzzz forums very much since I was pretty much kicked off the site after making over 400 legitimate support posts and was scolded by your administrator for having a link to my site in my signature. No problem with that, if I broke the rules so be it. I should not have a gripe about it. I do have to say that the link that I was providing included a LOT of information about Dolphin that was / is not available anywhere else including the Expertzzz site and I offered it completely FREE to whoever took the time to register to get it. I believed then and still believe that I was providing a highly competent level of support on the Expertzzz site that was significantly higher level than was being provided otherwise AND I provided it for FREE without any sleazy opportunistic attempts to solicit a sale. I made NO $$$ from any effort that I extended to any of the Boonex customers. The SAME is NOT true for others who were only posting self promoting pseudo answers to questions being posted. BTW, the pittance “complimentary” Contributor membership stopped when I got the self promotion scolding that I STILL feel was a bad decision on the part of the forum manager.
I just noticed to my shock and amazement, on the Expertzzz site, that the “Rules” apparently don’t apply to everyone! Consider this example. Here is a commercial site BLATANTLY advertising their “FOR PAY” service and indeed have a link to their site posted in the bottom of the message. Can you explain why this is allowed and my signature link was a problem? Btw, the is but one example, I believe the Expertzzz site has hundreds of these veiled and not so veiled attempts to self promote and solicit business away from Boonex or at a minimum are taking unfair advantage of the system.

There are so many hosting companies and each of them are so very different. The server is the heart of the script. If your server does not meet the needs of the script, then you will see many problems. Boonex may not be able to answer your problems all the time . . because it COULD be server related problem and have nothing to do with the script.
I say this, not to be rude, but because We (Team ikanDu) do hundreds of Dolphin 6.X installs and they run smooth. These errors do not exist because our servers meet the needs of the script. That is a very important factor. It is not ALWAYS the script that is the problelm . . . and if it is your server, then it is very difficult for Boonex, or anyone else to give you answers .. . . we have no idea what your server settings are like.
If anyone is thinking about installing Dolphin. . . . chose your server host carefully. Shop around. Cheaper is not always better.
We offer free installation of Dolphin 6.X (Free version only) on any new hosting account. Why do we offer it free? Because we know our servers meet the requirements . . .and when your server meets the requirements - then install is a snap!

Not fair, I agree. We don’t have double-standards or special treatment to anyone on Expertzzz. In fact the problem is a simple stupid lack of time to manage the site properly.
So, we plan to introduce a definite list of standard and rules on Expertzzz.com and enforce them by mostly automatic tools (such as community-reporting for example) and thus improve the situation. Expertzzz is getting increasingly popular as a platform for support, more money flow in and more attention is really needed. I do have hands on it now and be sure to see some positive changes really soon.
