   Hello gkcgautam,

   I know what you mean, Dolphin is a great platform, but the Front End appearance is really important to consider. If your familar with v5.6, you would know that their are many free templates, some easier to customize then others, but if you want full functionality of the new version of Dolphin (6.x) then you will have to be patient as BoonEx hasnt released a CSS/HTML Documentation for Template theming.

   The templates that are availalbe on Expertzzz.com, (http://www.expertzzz.com/Downloadz/home/dolphin/11/) have been created with literally no documentation, so the template creators have spent months learning and documenting the templates themselves, trust me, im working on a custom template and if your that worried about it you should learn css.

   This is a Custom Template design for a Dolphin powered website (http://britster.com). The creators spent months changing key aspects of the core code!

   So if you want a cool custom template, you have to do what everyone else has to do, and figure it out yourself!

   I’ve created 2 templates for my site from the base template. It isnt much but its quite easy really.

   You said that they have spent months learning and documenting the templates. Yes you are right. I think u didn’t read my previous post with concentration. Isaid that when they have created many templates, they can provide. And by the time they create many templates, they will become expert in making templates……
   It isn’t difficult for them to create a new template when they have few…
   I’m just 17 years old…don’t get much time for computers due to my tough studies…bcoz in india, studies are really tough….
   I do webdesigning for social service…and i promise, when i will get sufficient time…i will also provide free templates….definately….
   I create communities for uniting the people….i don’t want any ads to be hosted on my community sites…..So, why can’t anyone provide free templates..
   And Boonex, plaese launch Dolphin 6.1 only when 6.0004 is completely bug free….don’t just move ahead leaving it with small bugs….many people have their sites with Dolphin 6.0004 with a template which they have custamized……They will lose their work….

   Good luck with your studies, I know how time consuming they can be.

   So you’re asking why people can’t dedicate more free time and not get compensated for their work? If someone wants to release a free template, fantastic! However, I would never expect it.

   This is not a technical possibility. All commercial software contains bugs. As a community, we do our best to provide quality feedback and BoonEx cleans up the code accordingly. Sometimes bugs do not become apparent until a large user-base has a chance to test the software in a production environment. Rest assured, BoonEx is working hard to make this product feature rich and rock solid. There’s only so much they can do.

   You Know I hear this alot. ” Simion why do sell your items and not give them free” The answer is simple, As Nucca and Raguu stated as a developer I put alot of time into creating them. Alot of work goes into Mods as in Templates as well.

   Just because a template has been around a while does not make it any less as good as the rest and the person who devloped it needs to be compensated for the work.

   Yes, Dolphin is free with branding, but they need to make money as well. So they sell Ad free. If you want add free, then you pay. If you want more mods, you pay for them. If you want more Templates… you pay for them.

   I have released a couple mods that are free as well, it all depends on the complexity of it. Being on here is NOT about getting wealthy, or making a killing off the users. It is about contributing to an already great product, but having the ability to get compensated for the work.

   agree simion…i have 500 users and i don’t ask money..i putted a paypal donation and in 6 month nothing..to pay mods and hosting i sell a french translation and some installation..why not free?many thousand linecode,quality soucy and 3 weeks to make it..a customer click on the sql request and all my job take 2 seconds..anyway,boonex give a lot of their product 100% free for contributor on xpertzz and simion offer a free radio and other stuff..i don’t think a lot of contributor drive a ferrari (except ray and andrei?lol!!!)don’t forget it’s a free product.so i’m sure u will find many freestuff and if u 17years u will a seller soon (that a drug!!) pesonnaly i paid my hosting,all my mod and my contribution with my translation..my paypal is empty but my homepage is wonderful and my people happy
   p.s:why do sell your items and not give them free??lol

   To clarify, what exactly do you mean? I don’t wanna spark some contrioversy but arent you required to be 18 to utlize Dolphin? I think I remember someone mentioning that. Anyways, I think we all have a great oppurtunity to watch BoonEx and Expertzzz grow, participate in BETA’s and help co-develop MOD’s. I have yet to find such a close-knit community of Developers working together, then again im just a part-time hobbiest when it comes to Web Design, I have the tools to go far, hell I learned PHP/SQL/XHTML/CSS/Asyncronous Javascript and XHTML/cPanel/WHM and any other scripting language in less then a year, no kiddin’! All you need is space and oppurtunity, the rest will fall into place, just ask Andrey :D.

   Well I’m off to a Biology 30 (grade 12) Diploma exam, peace
