I have someone who posted one of my products for sale on expertzzz… NOT ONLY did he post it for sale, but he is using my EXACT TEXT… And as a slap in the face… he is also using MY DEMO SITE to show it off…
I do not know the person. Never sold to him. so no dought it is another member with a fake account.
What can we do about this? I would not mind so much as to it hurts those of us who put so much time and effort into the improvments for your sites. I have worked hours upon hours coding to bring this stuff to you. Now this guy wants to take food from my families mouth?
Yes, I am a little upset. Because this guy is saling MY product and not even trying to hide it.
Yes, I have sent Emails, but in the mean time… he has already sold a couple of them. So what can be done now?
Can I get a little feedback on this? I understand that everyone wants items for free… and I have given items for free. but those of us who make a living doing this and then bending over backwords to give the best service available… you would think that a human being would respect that. But I guess not. But it is a shame.

THIS HAS TO STOP.
It should be made impossible to have more than one ID - a simple change to the sign up process would log the user’s IP address and make it impossible for a duplicate to be created.
When a member is found to be breaking the law - it should be an IMMEDIATE removal from this site. Period.
When a member is found to have ’shared’ or sold for personal gain - the hard work of others (of ANY developer) their account should be IMMEDIATELY terminated and that IP banned for life. Period.
I challenge the Expertzz/Boonex crew to make to this an IMMEDIATE priority - or risk losing us - the developers.
I too am frustrated to no end, and am considering a change of platform. With that change will come the recommendation to my 200+ clients to change their platform with me.
Dolphin is a wonderful product to work with and the Boonex guys have done a GREAT job. However, if they cannot stand behind the developers that promote the platform and extend it’s functionality - I am done developing for it and supporting clients who use it.
A call to action has been placed.. will it be answered?

I fully agree with you both, I recommend posting the links to your product, and the scammer product so everyone can compare and comment.
I have seen this before, and to my disbelief, the Expertzzz team always seems to try and give the scammer a second chance by deleting the MOD and warning them. That is truly not enough indeed.
The more people who comment on this post will prove (hopefully) to Andrey and BoonEx that this is a SERIOUS issue.
I write travel reports as a hobby.
Some time back I found an Ebook being sold on Ebay that had been compiled from reports I wrote.
I contacted both Ebay and PayPal who immediately froze their Paypal account. It took over a year, but eventually their funds were turned over to me and they were permanently banned from using PayPal and Ebay.
Maybe some action like this would get their attention?

I totally agree with Simion, this has to stop.Its really sad to see this heartless people, stealing others products, sharing and selling it.Someone should really monitor expertzzz download zone to ban and remove this theives.This thieves really makes us who are developing products to slow down and stop developing more products to enhanced dolphin software.

I completely agree with Simion. A lot of hard work goes into these mods and I for One know him and Dadniel personally and know what they go through in developing the mods only to have them stolen. Another issue I would address on this is the paypal gateway. I have seen people purchase something, get the product, then get refund through paypal saying it was unauthorized transaction. I think if this happens then that purchaser should also have his IP banned. We do not need these crooks on here. This just makes everyone disgruntled and not want to work on Dolphin. I know I personally wouldn’t post anything on expertzzz, just because of the horror stories I have heard. I have tried to post FREE information on there only to have someone criticize and publicly say I am ripping someone off. (You Know Who you Are)
Also Boonex really needs to do something with the support. I am a hosting company and have been requesting help on an issue and it seems I am not important enough to be answered .

Now… how are we going to resolve this? There has to be something that can be done on both ends. Ours and Boonex.
It is not Boonex’s responcibility to maintain our products that we develope for their product. And as long as we offer good service and good products, then there should not ba any issues with the users.
But when we do all the above and still get shafted. I feel that it is up to the “powers that be” to help us out.
I am sure this will be handled, but how can we avoid it in the future?
I know there is not enough man hours in the day to watch every little thing that happens. So I know not everything can be handled in a snap of a second. But is there something that can be done to help?
Like now… this crook has sold 2 of my products. Lets just all hope we can not get this handle too little too late.

the one IP/ID system would benift all, I remember the BETA days, we have issues with a hacker, thankfully I had my admin password changed, but I think BoonEx should keep a blacklist of IP’s and apply them to all their websites/services, to kick them out of not only expertzzz, but BoonEx.com so they can’t gain access to any Development info, that could make their job easier!

This has been addressed many times and the only changes I see on Expertzzz is ad space for rent. Well I would like to post an ad but not to another page on expertzzz. Why can’t we post an ad for a service we have. Or maybe I would like to secure my transactions with my own Ecommerce site to sell my mods. That ranking system stinks anyways. I see Jrock has had 1000s of downloads and receives no ranking for it. Also other expertzzz high on the list, offer free stuff and get no recognition for it. I am a hosting company and because I do not pay commissions to Boonex I can not get an ad posted that links to my hosting website? I see Host 4 Web is on there. What I do get for my FREE information is comments saying Free should be Free. Oh well. I guess the Dolphin Customers are not important unless Boonex is not getting $$$ from every aspect of it. If you want everyone to use Host 4 Web than sell it as a hosted solution like Vtribes.com.
At Expertzzz.com we are now working on implementing tighter standards for products postings, but it takes time. Expertzzz members are web-masters = not dating site users = smart = difficult to control.
The problem described by Simion will be addressed and this particular case will be resolved ASAP.
As for the latest update - yes we introduced AdBoxes, but not just that, we also made a huge upgrade of the site engine, optimized it for Mac browsers, improved the mailbox, etc.
AdBoxes - now you have to link to internal page only. This is done intentionally, until we implement strict administration policy.

Hi Simion, as you remember it just happened to us the last week and it keeps going. Eboy aka seed23 aka enceptions is selling our precious database - not only the ones we have for resale but our nest-egg one. I have personally worked very hard and put lots of effort and suffered though crash of the industry so to have some fly-by night affecting my work as Expertzzz does not want to get involved is not right.
I suggest signing a petition. If they want to make money of advertising on pages where we put our product they have to:
1. Share that proceeds as they are not contributing to it
2. Ensure environment free of theft and copyright infringement. Our lawyers are actually starting a legal action against enceptions and I learned that also a third - uninvolved party that passively helps the damaging party is also responsible for theft. It is called contributory copyright infringement.
3. Maybe we form a new site? And each of us put in the ad a link there?
All I can say to you is to also ensure that you have some other way of protecting your work - like digital watermark, names in database etc. It is sad that you need to prove you are ‘the right one’.
One IP would be good as people would not be able to register with a new IP and leave a bad comment.
I have recently put a posting on Expertzzz about theft and many came down on me.It was very sad, that me, a victim, got more victimized.
As far as which person you are looking for - I believe we still might be dealing with eboy/seed23/enceptions/shaw and now this new ‘nick’ where he is selling what he collected while doing ‘jobs’ for people like me.
I will certainly support you in this effort but on my end, I am sending letters to Expertzzz and Boonex and my lawyers will be contacting them about this. Truly it sounds to me that is not a company but a few guys who put some CMS together (just like Mambo) and don’t want to be bothered.

Okay just a moment to post my thought about this issue.
If you write some code, for example a PHP Script and you do not take legal action to copyright that code weather you are protected by some sort of licensing there is no law broken and you really can not take much action legally aginst that person for using, or selling that code.
If someone stole, or bought anything I’ve wrote and tried to redistribute it I really could not do anything about it unless I had filed for copyright of my code and could produce it apon request. It would totally be up to Boonex/Expertzzz if they wanted to remove that user, or freeze the users account for breaking a “site rule” but in theory there has been no broken laws. It is sad but international copyright laws and licensing laws wont apply without registration and proof that the code is yours other than your saying it is.

I understand what you mean about the contributor status. I do not have contributor status on expertzzz for a reason myself. I give to boonex in other areas, but that is between Boonex and I. A little gold star on expertzzz is great. It means that that person is giving back to the community as well as supporting the staff that brings it to them.
I am faced every day with people who want stuff for free and they feel our labor and work should be free because Dolphin is free. They feel we are ripping them off. That can not be further from the truth.
No matter where you go in life, people will always want something for free. And they feel that we OWE it to them.. or we OWE it to them install our FREE products FREE then turn around and disrespect us.
Everyone who writes a script and posts it for sale DESERVES to be paid for the labor they put into it. If someone does not want to BUY it, then they can learn php, flash, javascript, or ajax and devlope it themselves.
I am sorry, but that is my honest opion.
