Ho! Ho! Ho! The spirit of Christmas and New Year’s Eve is oh-so-close and we’re not gonna miss it! 4 days till the day and it’s time for the end-of-the year post. Some of us will have a few days off, so please bear with a little bit of delayed support, correspondence and lower activity (not totally off, but with hiccups). We all had a busy year and need some rest. The next year is expected to be even more busy though

2007 Summary
What a year! 2007 is the most lucrative, hard, rewarding and exciting year we ever had. BoonEx changed dramatically in 2007. It feels like we went through 10 years in one month - so much happened and changed so fast.
Dolphin 6 and Ray 3 were released with great success; BoonEx Unity, BoonEx ID and BoonExpress Apps were born; BoonEx Blog opened our eyes and created a new eco-system of extremely helpful and supportive people; Shark started breathing in a form of 4ppl, Expertzzz, Unity and now LoveLandia; Expertzzz became a busy anthill; BoonEx incorporated in Australia; Ray became free; affiliate program launched; Orca has been updated; BMS deployed; BoonEx DevZone and BoonEx.us community launched and became popular; a new boonEx non-stop working record set; All BoonEx sites were redesigned; payments system and pricing updated; trading currency changed; BoonEx servers were upgraded to a 10x combined performance increase; BoonEx traffic soared to a highest levels beating all our competitors with a wide margin; we were featured at Techcrunch and Mashable; BoonEx Blog had over 2000(!) posts and over 15000(!!!) comments… and finally, I am confident enough to say - we became #1 community software experts!
So, how’s that for one year!?! I say - UNBELIEVABLE!
But hey, it’s also a huge challenge. The pace we set created greater expectations, higher demands and showed us new horizons. All for the year 2008.
2008 Plans
BoonEx is entering the 2008 stronger than ever and the plan is on the table. If BoonEx is under your radar for the next year - watch for the following:
Dolphin 6.1 (March) and 6.2 (September) with huge sets of new features and improvements.
Ray 3.1 (January), and most importantly, Ray 3.5 (March). 3.5 is planned to incorporate almost all features suggested to date, 2 new widgets, complete layout remake and performance boost plus added support of FMS and Wowza.
Orca 2.0 (March) - this release is aimed to set Orca on-par with more sophisticated contenders in terms of functionality, while preserving Orca’s key advantages.
Barracuda 3.0 (September) - neglected for quite a while the toothy fish will finally come out of the shadows, with a surprising new face.
Shark 2.0 (September) - yes, September still feels like it’s ages away, but it’s Shark and the due date is finally there. Once again it’s Shark, no games here, Shark.
BoonEx Blog will be integrated into Unity, and DevZone will be merged into Boonex.com. All BoonEx sites will accept BoonEx ID as a unified login system (January). Unity will have a new system for quality-assurance team of volunteers.
Unity is to come up with a few top-secret (for now) announcements in June.
BoonExpress Apps will come out of beta with an array of improvements (June).
Expertzzz will come out of beta and will get new features for even better community integration.
We plan to get more aggressive in terms of advertising and recruitment, so expect a more dynamic growth.
And finally, 2008 is the year of complete overhaul of our support services and correspondence standards. We are on the way for more customers, but we want to be on the way for more HAPPY customers.
The BoonEx team is ready and looking forward to 2008 and we welcome you to be with us.
100000 Downloads!
We just passed the 100K mark! That’s over one hundred thousand downloads of BoonEx software, and we’re counting from the day of Dolphin 6 release only. Expertzzz.com is about to pass the 300K!!!! mark. And the spread is accelerating! By the end of the year we’ll have over 10000 BoonEx ID’s registered and over 1000 communities listed in Unity. Isn’t that exciting?!
