How about copying the invite page into the member area. You must be logged in to use this one, and there is a record kept of who has invited how many people, allowing you to reward those people.
Thanks

I would really like to see the features outlined in the following posts to help improve safety and security:
I think this is so important.
Edit - I also think you should put in an email and ip filter. You should be able to ban persistent trouble makers from using and signing up to the site.
Some members may hate what I’m about to say, but I think there should be an option to read messages. Which is vital if you are going to keep a safe community.
This might be one of those ideas that a lot of people have no use for. But what if there was the ability to sign up as an artist/musician etc.
Artists then have a special gallery for uploading their art work and musicians have a mini store they can upload their music to and members can buy their songs if they like them. Then the majority of the money goes to the musicians paypal that they have designated and a margin goes to the sites paypal ( a % set by the admin ).
This might step on the toes of the classified section, audio and gallery sections, but it might be a nice addition.
Anyone agree/disagree?
I noticed that when you log into admin in on 6 BETA 5, it says “welcome back, “. When it should say “welcome back, admin”.
Tiny thing :p
Also the text in the Boonex news feed in the admin panel, seems to run across the page sometimes.
Also, if I was to create and offer Dolphin templates for free, if they were of good quality, as part of my design studios, would many of you be interested in that?
Thanks
Lewis
I know it’s really stupid and trivial, but it might be one of those things that gets people coming back to the site.
A battle module. Basically the same as rate, except 2 images are pulled from the gallery, and you simply click on the one you think should win, and a table is established of leaders.
Yet another silly idea by Lewis but here ya go.
Hey guys, great job on the new builds.
I have noticed that several, what I think are vital features have been overlooked.
HTML in profiles - this is obvious, it’s a massive thing to have but not hard I assume to put in.
Reported profiles in admin (http://www.boonex.org/2007/06/30/reported-profiles-appear-in-adminmod-panels/).
And more from http://www.boonex.org/2007/06/27/just-a-few-ideas/.
You are doing a great job, but in my opinion these are so important yet they are being overlooked.
Couple of points I would like to make:
Andrey, is there a list of features that are in/expected to be in BETA2, just so I can kinda tick off from my list of what I need.
Also, will there be an upgrade patch from B2 to the final release?
I think there should be an IP Blacklist system, as well as the ability to ban a profile and access to the account that owns it for a set amount of time. I also think there should be the ability to split the join form up even more, maybe into 3 pages etc..
Thanks
Can you get rid of these photos and blogs that are already in the database on install please? They are hard to remove and very annoying. I have messed up my database twice when I tried to remove them.
They are unecessary and annoying. Thanks.
When a user clicks ‘Report Profile’ as well as going to an email address, could the report appear in the admin / moderator panels? Thanks
![]()
Ok this could be a major problem. I go to www.mysite.com/moderators/ and login, I am transferred to the panel no worries everything is fine. If I try to go to www.mysite.com/index.php while I am still logged in I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: menuitem() in /path/to/dolphin/templates/tmpl_uni/scripts/menu_design.php on line 366
The above path has been changed to simplify it. To make sure it wasn’t a small error I had made by editing the file, I uploaded the file from the original package, it still didn’t work. This doesn’t happen when I login as an admin and try to access my website.
Thanks
How about allowing more than one account to access /admin/?
Possibly allowing upgrading of moderator accounts to staff accounts with limited and editable priveleges in the admin panel?
I noticed on blogs.php the ‘Recently Posted’ link is underlined too far, only a tiny tiny thing but something you might want to clean up.
I also had a couple more ideas
These ideas are probably all out there anyway, but I think they are quite good so here they are again
I know most of these are ideas from MySpace, but I reckon they would really enhance Dolphin as a system. I don’t know how possible some of them are but hopefully you will like them and add them to your list. I have to say I love this software and can’t wait until 6! If I have anymore ideas, I’ll keep adding them.
