Hi…I finally got my forum to work…but uploading videos and music…nada.

So, to compensate…I added widgets to the homepage for the time being until I figure out what’s up with the rest of my website.

Makes the website look more functional until the video and music uploads are finally bug free.

And I’ve just started to tweak the webpage template and noooo…it’s not finished…lol

Victor…there is a person advertising a template on Expertz for Dolphin 6.0…if you do anything, you need to scarf this person up and put him to work…give him a free host…whatever it takes!! lmao

Difficulty uploading the script

Hi…I have been uploading the final 6.0 version for two days now…I am on dialup and it keeps knocking me offline when I try to upload anything…I’m lucky to get 2 files uploaded in 2 hours…I keep getting child transfer errors and all the files I have uploaded are only 512 bytes each. I had aceftp where the problem first started…took that out and am now using cuteftp and ditto…I have never had this problem with a dolphin script before…I didn’t even attempt to upload RC1 because it did the same thing…prior to those I’ve had no difficulty at all…I’ve tweaked cuteftp through their troubleshooting guides but not much help there…does anyone have any ideas on this?…I greatly appreciate any input.

Generating Ray Base Licenses

When Ray Base Licenses are generated are they good for all of the Ray Bases installed in your server? Or do individual licenses need to be generated for each site in that server?

Ex: I have 2 dolphin sites on 1 server with the names being graffiti.com/buff/ and graffiti.com/day/. It is just generating a license for graffiti.com

I have 3 hosts…a small one which dolphin runs perfectly in…a mega one which doesn’t allow 777 chmoding and dolphin will not work in it…and a third one which I would like to be using…but…I cannot access my public html or my public ftp from within the file manager…they have no clue why because everyone can see those files except me…now if I try to ftp to that site, I can see all the files…does anyone have any idea why I alone would not be able to see those files?

UPDATE: Seems my dialup accelerator was the culprit…all fixed!!

MySQL warnings

I am receiving warnings in mysql tables…so far they are.

Warning…No index defined… for Admin links and Group members.

Warning…More than one Index key was created for column ‘cat_order’ in grp_forum_cat.

Warning- Unique and Index keys should not both be set for column ‘ID’, so far for: Banner clicks, Block list, Friend list. I am presuming anywhere unique and index are used together.

I have mysql server version 5.0 (Linux).

I’m not sure where to post this so I will put it in misc…Everyone keeps mentioning that the scripts look different in firefox than they do in internet explorer…how much computer memory do you have to have?…to have all these browsers on your computer?

Probably things others have mentioned but here goes anyways.

#1-Anyone can vote on any poll whether signed in or not, or registered or not although disabled for non-members.

#2-Photos show uploaded with the pics in the upload tab and admin panel but do not show anywhere else.

#3-Video upload page needs a statement as to what type of files are accepted…I got a midi file to upload finally, but when you click on “my music” the page cannot be found.

#4-The music player has a gray screen which needs to be clicked on to make work…then it trys to upload the midi file but keeps uploading…then it freezes your page and you have to click out of your site…refreshing doesn’t help.

#5-I get a fatal error in the forum tab.

#6-Another gray screen you have to click on in the boards…then continually uploading in that too.

#7-clicking on my profile (on the top) gives me a “cannot find page error”.

My chat works though!! :)  lol

Other than that it looks good Boonex…good job!! And the javascript idea sounds great to me!!

P.S…I’m running Internet Explorer…I can’t help but wonder if this is a double click problem (with the gray screens you need to click on) that they are noted as having?

removed htaccess files

I had to remove the htaccess files in order to install the new dolphin version…should I put them back after installation?? And it won’t let me register for a Boonex ID…I have filled out the info 3 times and the submit button does nothing :(

As I sit here munching on my 499th Boonex hamburger and sipping on my 989th Boonex pepsi  and listening to my cute ftp going boing for the 5,000,000th Boonex time. I can’t help but be elated that I’m single, because I’m thinking this is a Boonex addiction…and I could possibly be in Boonex court if I was married, getting a Boonex divorce!! Andddd I’m sooooo glad I don’t have any Boonex children!!! (Andrey be kind…I’m on dialup!! lol)

I had to hunt this down after seeing it on the main page of yahoo this last week…hopefully it brings an awareness to people on who or what could be hacking our sites. And perhaps is of interest to Boonex if they have not read it.

Well I had a Dolphin site as of yesterday…today I haven’t access to anything…seems a googlebot or an alias got into it…I thought I had it covered with the ht access code :(  Only good thing is that I’ve been waiting for the new Dolphin and haven’t been doing anything with the site per say…still gets me angry though…and yes I changed the password often…lol

I love the dolphin6b2 site, mainly because I’m more into the group site rather than dating….anyways…here’s what I’ve found on my site so far…

It won’t let me edit the css files under the styles catagory in the admin. panel

The security image just didn’t work so I disabled it.

My chat says cannot connect…but that could be a host issue.

And one more little quirk…when you bring up the site to log in to the administration panel the dolpin covers the sign in box, if you don’t maximize the page. And then you have to refresh the page after you do max it…ok I’m done…I’m waiting on the final release :)
