Forgive me to open a new post, but I did not find the original post any more, it is too far behind …
One thing which might be very useful is for the A/V chat to let the users select the bitrate and/or quality they want to send with.
Another thing is to have a button in the IM A/V properties windows to select the camera’s properties.

While trying to get video chat to work I tried to install my own RMS server. I tried on CentOS5.1 without luck. Error message is simpy ‘Aborted’ - nothing more.
Then I tried installing on Windows Server 2003. A PDF with additional installation instructions is provided in the zip. This was a little bit more luck. The Red5 server started, I configured Ray to use my own media server and I saw the incoming connection from my Dolphin chat and also from IM. But then both stuck on ‘connecting’ forever. On the server on the same message ‘Connection from User (1)’ showed up all the time.
Please Andrey! Help!
How do I get my Dolphin to use my own RMS and how will video work in the chat!?

I am currently testing out Dolphin 6.003 ad. A/V on IM work perfectly, but it could need a button to open the camera properties to adjust camera settings like brightness, color etc.
But on a chat room only audio works. When I click to start video it shortly starts and then stops immediately …. any hints?
I have configured rms.boonex.com as Server
Also a question: how many A/V users can concurrently take part in a chat room simultaniously?

Here are two additional feature requests for Orca which I have not found in devzone:
- Notifications by Mail or RSS of flagged topics
- Make sorting user changeable or fixed: from newst to oldest - newest posts should be on top of the page
- Possibility to append files to a post
This should apply for regular Orca forum and also when used in Dolphin groups.

This is something my users would like to see in Dolphin as some them have it in Orkut already. It is a RSS subscription of a friends’s profile:
The updates from your friends section on your homepage shows updates when your friends perform the following actions on orkut:
* make changes to their profile
* make changes to their photo album
* make changes to their video favorites
* new profile comments
* new blogs
Perhaps this is already in DevZone, I did not look, I must admit …

There is an option in admin panel to enable users to select templates.
What do I need to do to build a new template and where can the user select it? I found no place neither in account settings nor in profile settings.

Dear friends!
I talked to a fellow webdesigner and he told me that an angle design like Dolphin’s default template is quite cutting-edge. I could not believe it because I am more a friend of rounded corners and shadows as you can see in www.rtl2.de and www.phpizabi.com (just an example!)
But then I surfed by at www.sueddeutsche.de and nearly fell from my chair … 
It is one of the biggest newspapers in Germany.
=> Dolphin rocks again!!!
I am very interested what you would like to use at your sites ….

I somehow managed to get through the code because I talk a little bit of PHP, but I talk even less of CSS. Could you please try and document the CSS structure(s) of Dolphin and also the dependencies and meanings of the different *.css files and the corresponding *.html files?
My first goal I want to achieve is to make the main content area have a shadow with rounded corners. Also making the main menu look like tabs is my next goal.

BTW: according to dev zone 6.0001 is at 100% we are eagerly waiting ….
I have a problem when uploading WMVs - the result is sometimes very poor with real encoding errors.
I wonder if I configuring the quality of conversion is possible and might help … anybody found a place in admin panel or ray to configure this.

I wonder if it is possible to use VP6 as codec the video player of Ray used in Dolphin works with. With the release of Flash Player 9 for all major OS like Windows, Mac and Linux this uses bandwidth much better than mpeg.
Perhaps this is something for the next milstones …

I just found the daily quotes in the admin menu but no block in the homepage builder to make it visible. Anybody any ideas?

During your downtime my installation of Dolphin 6 was not accessible. The admin panel said that the installation is not registered and clicking on the link to go on unregistered just made the browser time out. Also the home page and other subpage just made the browser time out.
What can be behind and what to do against it?

Very good work, it really rocks!
I have some minor issues:
- unable to administer Orca forum. The links for adding formus, categories etc do not show up
- profile music player says ‘widget not registered’ - althoug registered in Ray admin panel
- where can I generate the license for ray desktop?

I would like to build a members-only site for my community. In Elgg terminology this is called a walled garden.
It means that one does not see anything of the contents inside, just the login box.
I played around with free site settings and access rules for visitors but still the index page shows member’s pictures, also video and photos are accessible partly from outside.
