1.) I don’t believe this has been added or suggested but make sure the warning system when it is released is universal for dolphin combo pack. So that warnings on the forum get put in the base console of Dolphin. So that it will show up on the users account that they were warned for a specific post on the forum. Then maybe they were warned for a inappropriate photo that was uploaded.
2.)Also something I have yet to seen that should be included in IM is a “Report” button like AOL offers where it will send a brief copy of the IM for review of administration or moderators.
3.) Custom Profile content, I think it would be nice when the new profile customization comes out to allow users to create their own content whether it be text or whatever. It would make their profiles more customizable making those users feel as if they own their own website. That is why many people use those types of sites one for the communication and then for the feeling it is their own site and they can put what they want onto it.
4.) Possibly incorporate some networking features for instance when people enter their school, city, or workplace it will automatically let them see a list of people that are within their network while depending on their privacy settings not be able to see their profile. It would help re-connect old friends.
5.) When adding schools or workplaces allow them to be in multiple networks say the user used to go to Glenwood High School and now goes to Elleywood Community College. Then they can put the dates they went there or whatever.
6.) Possibly make it so that instead of All Blogs make it more viewable such as Browse Blogs or something, something that makes looking at blogs easier if you are just wanting to check them out. It will basically just make it look a little better and keep things more organized.

This is just a suggestion I would like to ponder on is that there be an option for the forgot your password to be disabled and then allow admins to be able to manually change the password then making a forced password change upon next login function available. It would kind of help if a site needed to manually handle password resets or requests.
Also another feature that would be nice is being able to start a process where everyone is asked to check their profile information and make sure it is up to date and correct. I saw this on AOL where every once and awhile they will ask you on your account if your information is up to date. It would basically give a reminder to every user to check and see if their information is up to date and then click the confirmation button that it is after they have reviewed this information. It could just keeping notifing them on the site until it is completed.
Also I haven’t been on here for awhile because of school and such but I’m going to begin being a regular here now. What I would like to ask is if the hosted RMS has come out with a Link Free option for a paid monthly fee. I have the free licenses but I’m not on a dedicated server.

From everything I see people are complaining because bug fixes aren’t coming out in time. For one they are trying to fix many bugs in a packaged deal so you don’t have to upgrade your site every day or two to have the new bugs as we know someone will complain.
Then complaints are being said about how the final version should be bug free, then MichaelSwiss gave me the idea that if they were to keep it RC until all bugs were worked out you would complain again because you would want the final version out for your site.
So it is just going to be a never ending loop, so there are going to be impossible ways to make everyone happy since there are always complainers. The product is free they can take there own amount of time, when you pay to be a contributor or make a good donation you can have a little more say but not to the point where it is basically impossible. Just my thoughts. Since lately everyone is complaining and I think it is just because we took Andrey for granted checking the blog almost everynight and he has been gone for 2-3 weeks.

I got a dedicated server but I cannot really decipher the instructions so if someone could chat with me and give me instructions on how to do it in Linux. As I don’t understand all the terms in the installation. I got about to the 4th step and got lost.

I have been replying to comments they will show up for me but then when I go back to the blog it will say 0 comments. So when I go back to check how many comments it says none have been posted. So I don’t know why it keeps doing that…
But in response to the bandwidth issue… (was my original comment before it was lost)
I’m on 15 gig space 300 gig bandwidth and it is working fine for me. It costed be about $45/yr. But it is really good support and all to run it. I have yet to ask them but they are pretty flexible with what they will do. I need to ask them if they will do RMS for me. They have done almost everything I asked that I didn’t think they would. It is a really good service. Plus that has worked fine for me and for a couple bucks more a year I can just upgrade to a higher plan.

I think the forget your password could get a little better interface look and possibly offer a few ways to get your password. As there have been times I forget to update my email address and it cannot be sent to me.
Also there should be a networking system. Like users can join networks for their school, collage, work place, etc. So that it can all be linked together and in order to get into the network you must be approved. I was told that SECURITY, SECURITY, SECURITY needs to be the key. Plus make sure that it doesn’t get annoying as of course everyone knows that if it is annoying they won’t even bother.

Well I’m probably pushing on water here with this idea. But…
I know alot of peoples concerns are that there are many dating/social-networking communities and will this actually provide all that they need. So this was kind of a spur of the moment idea. But how if you allowed people to get ‘trial’ accounts. Meaning they can get an account which they can take a look around the website without going through any of the registration process. They don’t ask for email address or anything. Just asks for like password and login username. Just so they can get the idea of whether or not they would like to join and if so they will be prompted to join or something. I don’t know kind of let people test it out before being totally committed and receive emails and such. It was just a spur-of-the-moment idea so don’t take it seriously. But let me know your feedback.
Also I would like to suggest that someone stressed to me the idea of how SIMPLE it should be for some to edit and format their profile. As I know you guys plan on implementing like more customization through HTML, etc. Well someone brought up the point just to make sure that there should be some options like an HTML builder of some type for those that aren’t very good with any scripting. I know some of that is already implemented but just thought I would let you guys know as it is a pretty good point.

-The blogs should be totally block customizable much like the profile is soon going to be.
-Of course I’m going to request this again — tabbed profiles so you can get to everything of the users right on their profile. Their blog, groups, etc. It will just help make the profile not looks so cut to the point short. I would like it to look more like the users homepage they could use to tell people to visit.
-I have not researched this option much so would like some feedback on this behalf but somehow would it be possible for domain owners to use a domain to directly link their site to their profile?
-Blog Title Customization (I know the blog is really undeveloped and I’m sure many new features for the blog are on their way.)
-More Customizable group pages. Allow group creators to change the blocks and add more features. Also allow them to assign moderators and such.
More on there way… I got a friend that I’m gonna let view the site and give me all her tips. This will be the first view of Dolphin for her and I told her to critique and give suggestions as best as possible and I would provide them here. So hopefully she can input some good ideas since I seem to run around in circles with mine. By the way let me say thanks for the updated blogs. They look wonderful now, alot better and less confusing from what they were. It is definitely a good start!

When the owner of the profile view’s their profile they can vote on themselves. I think this option should be able to be disabled since that seems to be cheating the rank system.
As if people vote a 2 on the profile twice and the owner votes a 5 then it will equal out to about a 3 which changes the vote due to the owners choice. I think this should be disabled since the point of the rate system is not for the owner to rate their own profile.

I say that (if possible) the Boonex team can possible meet monthly if not bi-weekly on the weekends at a certain time. I say weekends because many of us who live in various places across the globe need more time to be able to attend meetings. So possibly a Saturday would be good since it would allow people to all have chances to participate.
I think it would be possibly good just because it would allow formal chat to take place and for discussion to take place during the chat. So that the whole Boonex Team and contributors can chat.

I think this request keeps getting brought up but keeps being missed or something as I don’t see it in either 6.0 or 6.1 devzone.
I think this is a main feature that needs to be implemented at least by v6.1. Where users can set their privacy level for being able to get searched, profiles being viewed, etc.
I know this feature has been requested before but it seems the most it originated from has gone missing and I feel it is a really good feature and would like it to be implemented.
I think the verifcation system where members can request to be verified then the admin can choose how they would like the verification process to be they will follow it and when they figure out whether or not the user is really who they are they can say “Verified User” maybe in green. Then in red if a user has not been verified for their identity then it will be like a different color “Not Verified” then like in red if a user was verified but with false information it can be like “False User-Not Real Person” or something. I don’t know how to exactly word it but it can be in red.
This would be a cool feature so like people actually know if the person is actually the true person they say they are. Sorta like on Myspace how people fake that they are really celebrities even though you know their not. It would be nice if Myspace implemented a verification process, it could easily be disabled or enabled but I think it would be very cool.

I’m trying to activate Lynx–dump and I was told I could do it in .htaccess. But I don’t know how to edit the .htaccess.
Can someone help me? I know you guys are alot of help so I thought I would ask. I know this isn’t really a Boonex question but thought I would introduce it to my peers.

I think there should be a universal friends feature like where admins can set-up who when people join they automatically become friends with certain members. Sorta like how MySpace and Tom and how when you create an account Tom becomes your friend. I think this should be the same feature and the Admin can choose who all gets to become friends with members when they join. Like if admins should be friends with all members or all mods.
That would be VERY cool.

Is it possible for me to get in contact with the person who owns the server and for them to install something on the server so I can run Ray correctly in dolphin?
Or do I have to be the owner of the dedicated server and include Dolphin with Ray in the main account. Like I have a friend with a dedicated server but I’m on a shared hosting account. He can probably install what is needed for me. Is it possible?
