I think like the profile meter that has been suggested is wonderful. I would like to extend on the idea and for people to collaborate what they think.
I think that the registration could contain AJAX functions where the user knows the error with their registration as soon as they click down to the next field so they don’t find out the errors when they click submit.
Also I think the profile meter should make like an easy set of steps of what the user can do to set-up their profile and also include links.
Also there should be a “No, Thanks” button for those that don’t want to go through the process. But I think it should lead members to very important settings such as Privacy Settings and such, but make the meter as short as possible. So it doesn’t take a few hours to get through it all. Maybe like 4 steps or something.

I think we need to collaborate on some ideas on how the chatrooms on the sites can be moderated. As we know that they will need to moderated to some extent.
I like how AOL has a report button in their chat rooms where if you report the chat then it will show the past 50-75 messages sent in the report window and then it will allow the user to highlight the user who was making the infraction and include a comment box so they can include comments.
This could be included in both IM and Chat so that IMs and Chat can be reported for spam or harassment. As there needs to be some type of moderation.
Is Orca meant to be very simple? I have some ideas but I think it may make Orca more complicated than what I think you guys are heading for. By complicated I mean do you not want it to be feature packed but more just the core features?
If anything counts then I’ll go ahead and post my ideas for Orca, once I see it integrated into Dolphin on Tuesday. Thankyou!
Hi, I think the Blog Category should be changed into “Create a New Blog” then create a blog should be change into “Make an Entry” as the blog system is very confusing and isn’t very powerful. That is something that needs to be changed ASAP as it doesn’t make sense otherwise. As create a blog sounds like create a whole new blog not just one entry.
Also we should create blog rings, it is sorta like groups but it is for people who share the same type of blog interests.
Also tagging users and putting regular tags into posts would also be a good and effective feature. By user tags I mean being able to tag other friends who have an account at the site to your blog. By regular tags I mean just tags like you would any blog.
Also you should add a currently field like… Currently: [drop down menu- Reading] Harry Potter, etc.
Currently: [drop down menu- listening to] my iPod.
(Xanga has this where it searchs like Amazon for a picture and description so users can see a little bit about it and then when they click a link it loads to Amazons page.)
You should be able to provide post privacy such as: Public, Private, or Protected.
You should be able to choose to enable comments and feedback directly into the post.
You should be able to rate the entry by how old someone must be to read it. Such as a rating scale of [A]ll Ages Allowed, [B]asic Guidance, [C]aution, [D]iscreation Required, [Ex]plicit Content, [N]ot Rated.

Hi Andrey, this question is for you… I was talking to Lyubov and he told me it was a better question for you… I don’t have the money for a VPS or Dedicated Server. I want to use Ray in the GM version of dolphin v6.0 when it comes out. I’m not very good at installing scripts inside of scripts if you know what I mean. Like I’m not good at say install Dolphin and then somehow integrate Ray into it. What is my best and easiest option to do? Thanks!
I would like to add-on to the idea of making it so Artists and Directors get their own Type of Profile. I think the featured profiles should get a special status or icon so that everyone throughout the site knows that the member is a featured member. Like Myspace does to their featured profiles. Also I think moderators and admins should be able to be noticed throughly throughout the website. I would like the idea of having featured, admins, and moderators be able to be distinquished very easily by visiting their profile and other parts of what they contribute to. I’m not exactly sure how to do that just yet but I will think about it and comment this post. But any further ideas on this please comment. Thanks!
I wish it would be possible for all user tickets that are submitted that the user doesn’t get to choose where it should go (what version) I wish it would be approved by the admin and the admin put where it should go.
As when looking at the milestones and where users post their stuff seems like it would be in a different milestone. I guess it would make the milestones a little more correct.
I don’t mean to jump on the bandwagon of IPB and Vb. But I would like to see a warning infraction system. So administrators and moderators can see what users have done that has been inappropriate.
Like say spamming we can warn a member and it is posted to their profile.
Then we can set how long before the warning expires.
Then you can also right when making the warning report it will either send the user a PM or email or both whatever the person writing up the report chooses.
It would just help keep better management, I want something so if I warn a user I have note of it.
Where can you edit that text, do you have to use a specific file or is it possible in the admin control panel. It would be nice if it would work through the admin control panel if it doesn’t.
When you click a user to be up for approval it tells the user they are approved.
HELP: For some reason when I post comments it has to get approved and they never seem to get approved and show up. Is it possible comment moderation be disabled unless you are going to check it often.
